"If we were standing in your physical shoes, this would be our dominant quest: Entertaining Yourself, pleasing Yourself, connecting with Yourself, being Yourself, enjoying Yourself, loving Yourself. Some say, 'Well, Abraham, you teach selfishness.' And we say, yes we do, yes we do, yes we do, because unless you are selfish enough to reach for that connection, you don't have anything to give anyone anyway. And when you are selfish enough to make that connection—you have an enormous gift that you give everywhere you are." ~Abraham
This quotation from the soul group calling itself 'Abraham', channeled through Esther Hicks, triggered some deep-seated childhood memories, very painful ones, and also happy inspiration.
When I was growing up, there were 3 females, older than myself, in our household, all telling/yelling at me how very selfish I was. Have you ever noticed how some words are freighted with emotional, moral judgment, far beyond their dictionary meaning? These words can be used to shame and punish. They go beyond name calling and imprint deeply on the psyche of a child.
This Symbala is dedicated to all those on a journey to find 'Self Love' and to understand the power of selfish, which means pertaining to the SELF! Words are such powerful symbols, but their real meaning is communicated by emotion and intention.
I created this Symbala with a 'PHIve' (5) based geometry, which is the number of man and magic. The principle of self-similarity is demonstrated by the 5-pointed star forming the foundation of this Symbala. The PHI ratio (1.61803...) of a part to the whole makes it possible for the star to repeat itself infinitely (or 'in-PHI-knitly') in both directions larger and smaller without losing the integrity of its form. This principle of being eternally true to itself is what the journey of Self Love is all about.

Soul Rhythms in Light
"I’ve been in cocoon mode for about a week recovering from a summer cold virus, but as in all things that come to us with unseen gifts, it gave me some down time to do soothing and uplifting projects. Spending time with Lahrinda’s new Symbala was part of my self-care program. Captivating, hypnotic and vibrant swirling lines of color were just a few of the sensations that thrilled my senses as I explored Self Love.
"As I joined in a bonded meditation with this wonderful creation, a distant memory whispered in my ear, 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' Unaware and not knowing the power of 'shadow talk', I remembered the little girl who could only answer in embarrassment,'I don’t know.' We are all given overlays of programming about what we should be like, how we should speak, what we should become when we grow up, how we should look and who we should love and how we should love them. These are spell casting shadow whispers that follow us ever so cunningly through life, but the shadows always disappear when they are flooded with light.
"Many of us are in recovery mode from 'good intentions' and guidance from our family, friends and lovers. It has been a blessing in my life’s recovery journey to find a sense of authenticity that is anchored in the light of self-love. My time with Lahrinda’s representation of the essence and frequency of Self Love was restorative, to say the least. The delicate and exquisite flow of lines and forms of sacred geometry seemed to sweep through every cell of my body, reminding me that the only thing I 'should' be, is true to the love of self. With every breath I felt the power of loving resonance fill my heart where shadows no longer linger. Take a breath and do some shadow cleansing within Lahrinda’s magical vision of Self Love."
Blessings to you all,
