This grouping arrived a number of years after the original four elements series. As so often happens in my work, it was a surprise. I've learned not to question the guidance and the flow of energy which embodies the creative process.

It all started with a bear! One day, for the simple pleasure it gave me, I drew the face of a bear. Before I knew it a Symbala was seeded and quickly emerged. As I sat contemplating my creation I realized that it was clearly speaking to me of the wisdom of the earth itself. A new series was born reflecting the evolution of my artistic/spiritual journey and expanding the elements to their close connection through Golden Proportion Geometry to the five platonic solids. They are a breed apart from my usual Symbala style because the bear led the way to an amalgamation of pictoral and abstract visual impact.

As always, these theme Symbalas reflect my personal feelings and philosophic perspectives. I hope you find them stimulating.
